Who we are
Our association has been organizing language courses for tour operators on Lake Garda since 1990.
Within this social-economical frame we’ve had the chance to form a staff and to work out a teaching method that is highly appreciated by our students.
Besides those languages that lend themselves strictly to the tourism business – German and English – we’ve extended our course programs with other languages chosen especially for travellers’ pleasure such as Spanish and French as well as an Italian for Foreigners course.
10% of the local Lake Garda population is not from Italy, but have moved here from EU, Eastern European or, more recently, from South-American countries.
A language school can be the perfect stimulation tool for many occasions in which Italians meet “new Italians”, and language barriers are quickly overcome by establishing a good neighbourly rapport as well as an intercultural exchange.
Learning a new language has an ambitious goal: to expand one’s cultural and human horizons through the number one European and international communication tool. Teaching a foreign language therefore means focusing more on conversation, oral fluency, rather than other formal elements such as grammar.

Where we are
We have two main offices in Bardolino and in Cavaion Veronese, in the southern lake region, at the foot of Monte Baldo, a few steps away from the Valpolicella valley.
Surrounded by the lake, the mountains and the rolling hills, a vacation-study will bring you forth to your goal in total relaxation amongst glimpses of natural landscapes of our Mediterranean microclimate and the flavours of a greatly valued wine and food tradition.

Teaching Staff
Our teachers are accredited and experienced language professionals; they are mostly degree-holders and mother-tongues.
Both in class and during individual lessons they are motivated to reach the best results possible with their students, verifying progress and monitoring the various study phases.
During the course, students are followed mainly by one teacher; a second teacher may intervene on some side activities.
Our teaching staff is wide-ranging in its experience and formation but works in unison of methods and goals.

Teaching Method
We offer brief and intensive basic level language classes aimed to foster better conversation abilities. Our method simulates life’s everyday scenarios.
Students interact with teachers by enacting scenarios often suggested by the class itself, and the implied grammar structures are studied as a result.
The exercises given – both in class and at home – are meant to strengthen the notions learned in class.
It is an eclectic approach to languages that privileges the humanistic and communication aspect, and takes into consideration, songs, sketches and dynamic and creative activities.
Students that have attended a standard program with interest will obtain excellent results: they will learn to express their needs with their own personal style using their new language’s expressions.

Workgroups
Our programs vary from regular classes to special classes that handle different categories (children, students, tourist operators, businessmen).
Classes include a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 students.
Classes start at 9am and end at 10pm. This is a broad schedule that offers the chance to attend even to those who cannot during conventional hours for whatever reason.
Students progress will be monitored weekly to check their progress and they undergo a final test to determine their language proficiency.
Finally, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance along with their class rating.

Teaching Material
Our class lectures make use of textbooks, chosen accurately amongst the newest editions.
In addition teachers will put at the students disposal personal files, audio-video material, and a pc for floppy-disk and CD-ROM use.
This teaching material is included in the tuition fee.
Tutoring and exam preparation courses take place on textbooks you already possess.
Interactive CD programs are available for personal study.

Finding out your skill level
We divide our language programs in 3 main categories, for a total of 6 levels in order to allow students to choose whatever course suits their skill level best.
- A) Basic Levels
- Beginner:
if you know only few sentences and words you qualify as a “true beginner”. The same situation applies to a “false beginner”, someone who studied the language at school, but forgot all basic notions after a couple of years of not practicing it.
- Elementary:
student can communicate using very simple structures and a basic vocabulary.
Usually a vocabulary of 660 words breaks the communication barrier, whereas a vocabulary of 1000 words is the peak limit for someone to easily make a conversation in a language.
- B) Intermediate Levels
In intermediate levels students can improve their ability to listen, talk, read and write the language and can take part in more articulated conversations.
- Pre-intermediate:
student can take part in conversations of various topics using basic structures and a simple yet appropriate vocabulary.
- Intermediate:
student has a good knowledge of grammar structures and vocabulary and has a good understanding of the language, even making some mistakes.
- Advanced-intermediate:
student has a vast choice of grammar structures and uses them with proficiency.
- C) Advanced Levels
- Advanced:
student can communicate in accurate manner using a vast vocabulary. Classes focus on strengthening weak points that emerge and working on current events and culture.
Choose the level you believe you best fit in.
At the beginning of our program you will be asked to go through an entry test and to see an instructor to discuss your objectives, so that the most suitable class can be chosen for you.
